Tee Ball
Tee Ball provides an introduction to the game of baseball for first time players,
typically players ages 4 and 5. Basic principles of base running, throwing, hitting,
and catching are taught in a fun and safe environment. There will be one weeknight
practice and one Saturday game each week. Having fun is stressed as much as
learning the fundamentals. Hitting is taught using a tee with the hope that players’
abilities progress throughout the season; with the goal to expose players to coach
thrown pitches by the end of the season. Tee Ball is the perfect starting level for
your player, especially if this is their first attempt at tee ball/baseball, or their first
organized sport activity. Target team size: 9. Games: Each player bats and plays the
field every inning. Practice and Game Times: Approximately 1 hour each. Please
see the FAQ section here for more information.

Coach Pitch
Coach Pitch is geared towards players, generally ages 5 and 6, who have completed
at least one season of Tee Ball (formerly Micro Tee Ball). Coach Pitch teams practice
one weeknight and have one game, typically on Saturdays, each week. Players at
the Coach Pitch level should be prepared for coach thrown pitches at the start of
the season. Sportsmanship and fun are stressed while simultaneously introducing
players to more rules of the game. No score is kept during games but players are
introduced to “outs” both while playing defense and batting. The fundamentals of
base running, throwing, hitting, and catching/fielding continue to be taught in a fun
and safe environment. Target team size: 10. Games: Each player bats and plays the
field every inning. Practice and Game Times: Approximately 1 hour each. Please
see the FAQ section here for more information.

Rookies - Machine Pitch
Machine pitch baseball for players age 7 and 8. Younger players should have at least one year of coach pitch prior to playing in this division. Rookie Ball is equivalent to A Ball in Little League programs. The baseball is pitched at about 35 mph typically by a Blue Flame/spring loaded pitching machine and 10 Players play defense with 4 outfielders. Players are placed on teams based on elementary school boundaries. Players should expect one practice during the week and a game on Saturday. Scores and standings are kept to help transition into competitive playing but the emphasis is on skill development and learning all the defensive positions.
